Electric Plaster Saw Instructions

 Components and Uses

Electric Plaster Saw consists of many components, including electric motor, propeller shaft, spindle sleeve, eccentric shaft, axletree, transmission pliers, circular saw blade, line shape blade and casing, preoperculum, pinching screw, power cord, wire plug and so on.

This product is mainly used for patients who recovery from orthopaedics operations. It is the basic surgical equipment which can effectively cut all kinds of bandages.

Structural Characteristics and Principle of Work

Via eccentric shaft driving transmission pliers, the electric motor is driven by electrical source, then it converted the blade into oscillates traverse motion and saws the bandage. No injuries happened during bandage removing.

Electric motor adopts double insulated protection device to ensure safety for the operators and patients. The characters of Electric Plaster Saw cover the following:

 Running Conditions and Essential Parameter

1. Normal running conditions:

Ambient temperature: 5~40℃

Relative humidity: ≤80%

Supply Voltage: 220V±22V

Power frequency: 50HZ±1HZ

2. Essential parameter:

a). Oscillative angle: 6º±1º

b). Oscillative frequency (running-idle): 15000times/min±2250times/min

c). Noise of idle load: ≤90dB(A)

d). Temperature range of idle load: the temperature of machine casing is no more than 25℃ after running 3 minutes later.

Application Instruction

1. Before using, to check whether the saw bit is smooth, whether missing sawtooth, whether installation is tight. It must be tightened with 5mm inner hexagon spanner in a clockwise direction when installing.

2. Before the operation, to connect electric motor power and then switch on equipment after disinfecting the electric plaster saw.

3. Grasp the electric plaster saw and the saw blade should be vertical on the bandage’s surface where need to be removed and make stress slowly, then cut the bandage vertically. Please don’t cut the bandage at one time, although the saw has function of soft-tissue protection.  

4. To cut the vertical surface of the bandage, and then move forward slowly to the place where need to be removed. And repeat this procedure until completion.

5. After long-term usage, the sawtooth may become blunt. It just needs to release the screw cap with 5mm inner hexagon spanner in a counterclockwise direction. And then tighten it in a clockwise direction after wheeling the saw bit,

  Precautions:

1. Wire Plugs should be installed in three sockets with the same specification. To ensure safe use of electricity, the secure socket should be grounded.

2. To inspect whether saw bit is smooth, whether missing sawtooth, whether installation is tight before using.

3. To exert proper pressure instead of excessive pressure while the saw bit oscillating

4. Do cut off the electrical source and withdraw the saw bit slowly while stuck in the bandage. Do not switch on and off the switch alternatively which will damage electric motor under such condition of changeful charge load.

5. The temperature of equipment shell will increase with the using time goes by. It should be paused a moment if discover the temperature is overheating. Restart it while cooling. Otherwise, the electrical motor would be damaged by overheating.

6. If there is an abnormal sound, too larger vibration or load reduction, etc., it should be promptly sent to manufacturers or electricians for inspection and repair.

 Care and Maintenance

1. To inspect insulating property of electrical motor regularly to ensure the safe use of electricity.

2. Inspect all parts at regular intervals. To inspect the mechanical structure if the motor is operating normally but parts are at fault, then change accessories or repair according detailed situation. In order to avoid driving medium worn out and affecting using life due to lacking of oil, adding MOS2 grease # 1 after repairing.
